1. WHO WE ARE

This Privacy Policy applies to The MachinEGG, an idle/clicker game developed by Quantum Games Studio, in every version we publish: web browsers, desktop (including Steam) and mobile (including Google Play and the Apple App Store). It also applies to this website and to The MachinEGG Sanctuary.

2. WHAT DATA THE GAME COLLECTS

The game does not collect email addresses, real names or account details on any platform. It only handles the data described below.

Game progress

  • Your game state (chickens, upgrades, earnings, play time) is saved on your device.
  • If the platform you play on offers cloud saves and you use them, your progress is also synced to that platform's storage, under its own account system.

Leaderboards (optional)

  • If you choose to submit a score, we store the name you enter (chosen freely by you), your result or time, and an anonymous session pin generated on your device.
  • This name and result are visible to other players.
  • Submitting a score is entirely optional.

Sanctuary (optional)

  • If you use The MachinEGG Sanctuary, we store the content you create there, such as chicken names and pen designs, so it can be displayed and shared.

Data the game does NOT collect

  • No email addresses, real names or passwords.
  • No precise location data.
  • No payment details. If a version offers purchases, the payment is processed entirely by the store or platform, and we never see your card details.

3. PLATFORMS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The MachinEGG is distributed through third-party stores and platforms, such as Steam, Google Play, the Apple App Store, CrazyGames, Playgama, itch.io, galaxy.click and VIVERSE. When you use one of them, it may collect data under its own terms, for example your account, device information, downloads, purchases, and crash or usage statistics. We have no direct access to your account on those platforms and may only receive anonymous, aggregated statistics from them.

Please review the privacy policy of the platform you use, for example: Steam, Google, Apple, CrazyGames and itch.io.

Advertisements

Some versions of the game display ads, including optional rewarded ads. Ads are provided by the platform or by advertising partners such as Google, and may use cookies, device identifiers such as your advertising ID, or similar technologies. These partners process that data under their own policies. You can limit personalized ads in your device or browser settings, and on iOS the system asks for your permission before any tracking takes place.

4. THIS WEBSITE AND CONTACTING US

This section is about themachinegg.com only. It is separate from the game and does not apply to playing on any platform.

Contact form and email (optional)

  • You never need to contact us to play. If you choose to write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive the name, email address and message you send, and use them only to reply to you.

Website services

  • Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and maintenance.
  • Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
  • YouTube videos only load when you press play. YouTube then handles that playback under its own policy.

5. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

  • Game progress is used solely to restore your save when you return to the game.
  • Leaderboard data is used solely to display public rankings.
  • Sanctuary content is used solely to display and share what you created.
  • If you write to us, your message and contact details are used solely to reply to you.
  • We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with third parties beyond what is described in this policy.

6. DATA RETENTION & DELETION

  • Local save: stays on your device. You can delete it at any time using the "Wipe Save" button in the game, by clearing your browser data, or by uninstalling the game.
  • Cloud save: managed by the platform you play on. Use that platform's tools to delete it.
  • Leaderboards and Sanctuary: to request removal of an entry or of your content, contact us at quantumgstudio@gmail.com with enough detail for us to find it, such as the name and time of your entry.
  • Messages sent to us: kept only as long as needed to help you, then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

7. COOKIES & LOCAL STORAGE

The game and this website use local storage on your device, not cookies, to save your progress and small preferences. We do not set tracking cookies ourselves. Any cookies present come from the platform you play on or from its advertising and video partners.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The MachinEGG is a casual game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require account creation or any personal data to play. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at quantumgstudio@gmail.com. For data held by a store or platform, please contact that platform directly.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
